Trippy. I clicked on this because I love Fukase’s work and have written about it before, and then to my Very Great Surprise find myself (and my writing on Fukase) directly referenced in a freaking Guardian article! Great thing to wake up to in the morning!
The essay I wrote on Fukase (years ago!) that was cited:

Masahisa Fukase, Karasu (Ravens)
The British Journal of Photography has asked a few critics to pick the best photobook of the past 25 years to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the And/Or Book Awards. I was (pleasantly) surprised to see Masahisa Fukase’s pitch-black masterpiece, Karasu (Ravens) come out on top. I once let a signed copy slip through my fingers… live and learn. Fortunately this book isn’t completely impossible to find since there have been multiple editions produced over time, including a 2008 edition of 1,000 copies produced by Tokyo’s excellent Rat Hole Gallery. Seek it out, you won’t forget it having seen this.
Sean O’Hagan from the Guardian has a go at reviewing the book here.
